Description: The Directorate of Information in Ministry of Information and National
Guidance in conjuction with Foundation for Human Rights Initiative are organizing a two day Roundtable on the Access to Information Act which will attract 55 key stakeholders, policy makers and implementers both from government and the private sector.

The Roundtable under the theme "Fostering Open Government through Access to Information" will promote awareness of the Access to Information Act 2005 as well as explore available options to ensure effetive operationalisation of the law.

The meeting will take place at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel on the 18th and 19th September 2006
