Event: GYLA events planned throughout Georgia with regard to September 28-The International Freedom of Information Day

Tbilisi

  1. On September 28 by the financial contribution of OSCE, GYLA will arrange a forum for journalists in Marriott where about 60 journalists will participate and problems with regard to freedom of information discussed. At the same forum we sign the application with regard to the draft of the Convention of the European Council. The application will be submitted to the Georgian members of the delegation in the European Council.
  2. The book marks dedicated to freedom of Information day will be prepared;
  3. The banner dedicated to freedom of information day will be prepared;
  4. Posters for freedom of information day will be prepared.

Kutaisi

  1. GYLA/Kutaisi office will arrange a round table on: “Freedom of information – problems and successes.” Freedom of Information Officers, NGO and mass media representatives will participate there.
  2. The event will be held near the territory of Kutaisi Mayor’s office and the booklet “Access to information” will be disseminated.

Batumi
The event will be held and the booklet: “Assess to Information” will be disseminated;

Telavi
The lesson will be held in Telavi secondary school on the following topic: “how should we request public information.”

Gori

  1. The event will be held and the booklet: “Assess to Information” will be disseminated;
  2. The round table will be held with regard to freedom of information day. Freedom of Information Officers, NGO and mass media representatives will be invited.

Dusheti
Seminar will be held on freedom of information .in Dusheti for Freedom of Information Officers from Dusheti state agencies

Ozurgeti
GYLA/Ozurgeti office will arrange a round table on: “Freedom of information – problems and successes.” Freedom of Information Officers, NGO and mass media representatives will participate there.

Rustavi
GYLA/Rustavi office will arrange meeting in GYLA/Rustavi office with Freedom of Information Officers from Rustavi public agencies.
