Event: Right to Know Week (2 nd edition)
Date: September 26 - October 2, 2005

Description: This year during the Right to Know Week (2nd edition) in the Republic of Moldova seminars, trainings, consultancies, book exhibitions ?You?re entitled to know? are organized in Chisinau and in other about 80 localities of the republic.

Several events organized in Chisinau during the Right to Know Week (September 26 - October 2) in 2005:

September 26
"Right to Know Week" Press Conference, award of "Bronze Bell" for merits in the field of promotion of free access to information. Organizers: "Acces-info" Center in collaboration with Independent Journalism Center, Association of Independent Press, Association of Electronic Press, Media Impact, Center for Journalistic Investigations, Transparency-International-Moldova, Informative Bureau of Council of Europe in Moldova.

September 26
Book exhibition "You're entitled to know". Organizers: "Acces-info" Center, National Library, Informative Bureau of Council of Europe in Moldova.

September 26-29
Workshop "Strategies and methods to promote human rights in media", organizers: UNDP.

September 26-30
Continuation of training and consultancies for the directors of news departments, producers and reporters of TV/Radio posts. Organizer: Independent Journalism Center with support of US Embassy in Moldova.

September 27-28
Seminar "Equilibrium and fairness in the informative and political programs in the frame of public service of tele/radio broadcasting". Organizers: Association of Electronic Press, Council of Europe.

September 28-29
Conference "Free access to information: legislation, practice, prospects". Organizers: "Acces-info Center", Parliamentary Commission for culture, science, education, youth, sport and media, with support of Soros-Moldova Foundation, US Embassy Alumni Resource Center.
