The interview covered what is RTI, the link between RTI and good governance, what is KRIA katte & how to join it and how to use the Karnataka Right to Information Act (KRIA). PAC has received several calls as a result of the interview. We have also asked Radio City to run promos on the 27th & 28th as a run-up to the RTK Day. 2. We have contacted the Chief Secretary, Mr. K.K. Misra, seeking an appointment to present the Memorandum of Recommendations to strengthen KRIA, that were presented at a symposium organised by the Katte on 4th September. His office will confirm his availability tomorrow. 3. There will be several newspaper articles in the English & vernacular press on that day. 4. We have requested the the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), the nodal authority to implement KRIA, to issue press releases on the 28th in Kannada & English in newspapers across the state - they will confirm the extent of their commitment later in the day. 5.
